Professor Lászlo Tóthfalusi graduated as a pharmacist and received a PhD in Pharmacology from Semmelweis University, Hungary, as well as a Master of Science degree in computational mathematics from Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Hungary.
From 1993–1997, Professor Tóthfalusi was a post-doctorate fellow at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Toronto, Canada.
Professor Tóthfalusi is actively involved in regulatory assessment of generic and biosimilar products.
Since 1998, Professor Tóthfalusi serves as an external consultant and pharmacokinetic advisor for the National Institute of Pharmacy, the Hungary medicine regulatory agency.
As of 2003, he is a member of the Pharmacokinetics Working Party (PKWP) set up by the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use of European Medicines Agency. In this position, he has been rapporteur and co-rapporteur of regulatory guidance documents issued by the PKWP.
Professor Tóthfalusi’s primary research interest is the application of computational methods to analyze and simulate clinical trials, particularly bioequivalence trials. He is also the co-author of more than 40 scientific papers and three book chapters regarding various fields of biopharmaceutics.
Professor Tóthfalusi is a member of International Society for Clinical Biostatistics.
