1. Marketing Assistant

The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for daily sales and marketing administrative tasks,  response to readers’ and subscribers’ comments, management of website content and providing general administrative support to the editorial production department.

Requirements:

  • Highly organized with high level administrative skills
  • Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Practical and good knowledge of HTML and web-based programs
  • Knowledge of social media marketing and website CMS
  • Work independently as well as part of the editorial team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, positive, hardworking and accurate

Responsibilities:

  • Market research and analysis, report compilation
  • Management of direct marketing and e-newsletters
  • Database update and management
  • Website content management
  • Creation of marketing campaigns
  • Sales and marketing administration support

2. Science Editor

The Science Editor will be responsible for producing the journal and website content, supporting the development of GaBI publishing and educational activities.

Requirements:

  • Biomedical background or qualified medical doctor with experience in pharmacology/clinical drug development
  • Proven extensive experience in scientific biomedical publishing, medical writing and editing
  • Native English speaker
  • Independent, sound judgment, mindful to safeguard the website’s position of authority (unbiased content) in its area of expertise
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of the editorial vision for the journal and other publications
  • Responsible for producing the journal and other publications content
  • Commission, source and produce editorial content of the website to ensure continuous novelty on the website
  • Write summaries, news articles, issuing press releases
  • Manage web users feedback, blogs, forums and other forms of user-generated contents
  • Suggest ways to develop and shape the communication strategy and external perception of journal and other publications

3.  Internship

If you are still working on your degree, an internship may be the perfect way to experience the professional fields you may consider for your future career. Joining our company as an intern will give you the opportunity to understand the publishing industry, including associated marketing activities, editorial production processes.

The PPCI internship programme is available for students currently enrolled in a college or university, who are interested in the fields of publishing, marketing, editorial production. Internships are anticipated to last a minimum of three months. However, we can be flexible with regards to the duration of the internship, if necessary. Both part-time and full-time internships are available.

PPCI will reimburse your travel costs and offer a food allowance. We also ensure the relevant academic documents will be completed, to support you in obtaining academic credits.

Interns will have the opportunity to participate in work related assignments and gain practical work experience. Overall, the intern will become familiar with the basic structure of a publishing house and the role of each department therein.

PPCI can provide you with the invaluable knowledge that will prepare you for your ideal job, and may help you get your foot in the door when it is time to look for a full-time job.

4. Business (Marketing and Sales) Executive

The Business (Marketing and Sales) Executive will be responsible for developing and increasing advertising sales for PPCI’s publishing and media activities, by identifying new markets and seizing business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Professional experience in direct/tele sales with proven track record and entrepreneurial drive
  • Fluency in English language, knowledge of other languages is an advantage
  • Confident in building client relationships at ease
  • Target-oriented
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic, positive, hardworking, customer-oriented
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of the marketing and sales team
  • Proficient knowledge on computer skills with Outlook, Excel, Word, Internet
  • Willingness to follow instructions and open to learning
  • Pharmaceutical or medical background a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop advertising sales via telephone calls and emails
  • Prepare client proposals, negotiate the terms of an agreement and finalise sales
  • Make accurate and rapid judgment to provide clients with suitable offers
  • Discuss new sales opportunities and build special packages or sales themes
  • Follow up on advertising materials and monitor accurate placement of advertisement position
  • Act as the point of contact between PPCI and its existing and potential clients
  • Organise and attend client meetings during congress events
  • Gather market and customer information
  • Regular review of sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  • Inform the Publisher about future buying trends on a regular basis
  • Report on sales activities regularly to Publisher
