The Value Added Medicines Group satellite symposium, ‘Value added medicines: What value repurposed medicines might bring to hospital pharmacists’ held at the European Association of Hospital Pharmacists’ (EAHP) 2017 conference on 22 March 2017, saw Christoph Stoller, Stefan Krähenbühl and Emilia Mindora Voiculescu, discuss how these medicines, based on known molecules, can improve patient outcomes. They highlighted some of the successes of value added medicines to date and emphasised areas that need to be developed in order to facilitate further innovation.
